Plugin & Add-On Licenses

PorterWP and any add-ons (everything that you install in your /wp-content/plugins/ folder) are copyrighted by Andrew White and are licensed to you under the GPL v2: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.txt

Limited Warranty

PorterWP and any add-ons are offered “as is” and without warranty, even the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We suggest you make regular backups of your site, and if you are in over your head, get a developer to assist you.

Andrew White and their associates, partners, employees, and shareholders shall not be held liable for ANY damages or loss of data resulting from the use of our products or the termination or revocation of your license.

Account Access

You may install PorterWP and any add-ons you have purchased and use your license key on any number of your own websites, and any of your clients’ websites. You may not share or distribute our plugins, add-ons, or your license key, or your account credentials for porterwp.com to 3rd parties who are not your clients.

What is a client?

A client is someone for whom you are:

  • Building a custom website
  • Doing custom work on an existing website

A client is not someone who:

  • Has bought a theme or plugin that you sell
  • Has contracted you to configure their import or export
  • Has purchased a premade website from you

You may not bundle PorterWP or any of our add-ons as part of another product, service, or include it as part of a hosted service.

Support

Access to support is limited to a single person or organization. You may contact support about any issue you are having with the products you have purchased, including issues you are having on your clients’ websites. However, for your clients to be able to contact support directly, they must purchase their own license.

Access to support is provided exclusively at our discretion and may be terminated at any time. If we choose to deny you support, you are entitled to a full refund. If you request a refund, we may choose to terminate this agreement and revoke your license.

See our support policy for more information: https://porterwp.com/support-policy/

Updates

Each license key entitles you to “lifetime” updates for registered websites for as long as your license is active and not in arrears. By “lifetime”, we mean that your access to updates never expires, not that we will continue providing updates indefinitely.

Updates are accessible by logging in to your account, or automatically through the Plugins page of WordPress admin panel. You may not allow or cause anyone other than yourself or your current clients to access updates in any way.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time, for any reason, by notifying you via e-mail that your license to use the software has been revoked.

If we terminate the agreement because we have determined that you have violated the terms of the agreement you are not entitled to a refund. If we terminate the agreement for any reason other than a violation, you will receive a full refund.

You can also terminate the agreement for any reason, you will not be entitled to a refund in this case.

Severability

If one of the provisions of this agreement is found to be invalid, all other provisions shall remain in effect and in full force.

Modification

We reserve the right to modify this agreement at any time. Your continued use of our support or receipt of updates after the date of change constitutes your acceptance of any and all changes to this agreement.
